Stanley 40 oz Accessories: What to Look For

The Stanley Quencher 40 oz is big enough that people often want to add to it. Before you buy anything, it helps to work out what bothers you about using it now. Then you can look for an accessory that fixes that one thing.

Start with the official parts

If a lid or straw is worn or lost, check the maker first. Stanley's accessories page lists replacement lids, straws and parts, so you can match the part to your model.

Common types of accessory

  • Replacement lids and straws. Useful when a part wears out. Check that the part matches your exact model.
  • Base protectors. A sleeve for the bottom can reduce noise and scuffs when you set the cup down.
  • Straw toppers and charms. These are mainly for looks. Check that they are easy to clean.
  • Carriers and straps. A 40 oz cup is heavy when full, so these make it easier to carry.
  • Phone holders. Useful if you want your phone at eye level while your cup is on a table or machine.

What to check before you buy

  • Size. Many accessories are made for a particular size, so look for the measurements and not just the name.
  • Who makes it. Lots of accessories are made by other companies. Look for a clear note on whether the seller is connected with the cup brand.
  • Cleaning. Check whether it can be washed, especially anything near where you drink.
  • Weight. Anything you add makes a full cup heavier.

Where the Whewhew strap fits

The Whewhew magnetic strap is a braided elastic strap with a built-in magnetic ring. It holds your phone on your cup so you can watch or film hands-free. It fits cups 3.9–5.1 in across, including the Stanley Quencher 40 oz (H2.0).

The magnet is optimized for iPhone 13 and newer, and a metal plate is included for phones without MagSafe. You can rotate your phone between portrait and landscape, but the viewing angle is fixed, so check that it suits how you plan to use it.
